Job Overview

The Director of Strategic Development (Americas) will serve as a senior member of Animoca Brands' executive leadership team, responsible for leading strategic initiatives, growth planning, and market expansion across the Americas.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director will oversee corporate strategy programs, partnership development, business expansion initiatives, and performance analysis to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and regional market opportunities.

The ideal candidate is an experienced business strategist with deep knowledge of gaming, blockchain, or fintech ecosystems. They will have a proven ability to identify growth opportunities, execute strategic initiatives, and deliver measurable business outcomes in competitive and regulated markets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Development & Leadership

Develop and execute Animoca Brands' strategic development plans for the Americas, aligned with corporate objectives.

Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on market trends, growth opportunities, and corporate expansion initiatives.

Define KPIs, success metrics, and frameworks to evaluate strategic initiatives, partnership performance, and business impact.

Ensure consistent execution of global strategic development standards, processes, and governance frameworks.

Growth & Market Expansion

Identify, evaluate, and execute business development opportunities, including strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures.

Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to optimize market positioning, entry strategies, and adoption plans.

Represent Animoca Brands at industry forums, conferences, and client meetings to showcase strategic capabilities and strengthen credibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely with product, marketing, sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure strategic initiatives align with regional and global objectives.

Build, mentor, and lead high-performing strategy teams, fostering analytical rigor, innovation, and results-driven execution.

Promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement across strategic development functions.

Ensure alignment between regional strategic initiatives and headquarters' long-term vision.

Performance Analytics & Continuous Improvement

Monitor KPIs, initiative outcomes, and market performance to evaluate effectiveness and guide improvements.

Leverage data-driven insights to optimize strategic decision-making, partnership execution, and business growth.

Support executive reporting to the CEO and board on strategic development performance, emerging opportunities, and risks.

Qualifications

Over 20 years of senior leadership experience in strategic development, corporate growth, or business strategy roles within gaming, blockchain, or fintech sectors.

Proven track record of driving business growth, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.

Deep understanding of digital ecosystems, business models, and competitive landscape.

Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills with experience influencing executive-level decisions.

Bachelor's degree in business, strategy, finance, or related discipline required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
