SUSTAINABILITY ANALYST INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

This internship is geared towards students interested in shaping positive environmental and financial impact through a focus on analyzing and reporting commercial real estate operational metrics and sustainability results. This role supports ESG reporting, green building certifications and ratings, implementation of new sustainability initiatives, research projects and assists with the development of educational and outreach material. This position reports to the Director of Sustainability.

No two days will be the same when you join our team as Sustainability Analyst Intern to uphold our mission of Taking Care of the Way People Live. Examples of your responsibilities include:

  • Acquire and analyze utility (energy, water and waste) and emissions data for reporting and certifications.

  • Support the application process for ENERGY STAR certifications.

  • Research of practices and technologies for the built environment and report on the results.

  • Support the development and implementation of new initiatives and programs.

  • Support special projects.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Career interests in sustainability, electrical or mechanical engineering, business, management, commercial real estate, environmental economics, environmental management or related field of study

  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills

  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Professional demeanor with good communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Initiative-taking, detail-oriented, exhibits initiative, resourceful
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (intermediate), Word, PowerPoint
