Coverage & Litigation Solutions Leader

I am partnered with a specialty insurance carrier that is seeking a proficient Coverage & Litigation Leader. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to run litigation strategy for the company, advise on complex coverage issues and steer and enhance the efficiency of their Claims department while upholding the highest standards of practice. Role & Responsibilities

As a Coverage & Litigation Solutions Leader, you will be tasked with:

  • Leveraging expertise in insurance coverage and policy wordings to develop robust claim defense strategies.
  • Guiding the claims adjusting team in handling complex claims efficiently while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Directing and supervising litigation processes associated with challenging or high-risk claims.
  • Interacting with legal experts to ensure the organization's interests are protected in courts.
  • Developing and implementing training programs for new hires and existing staff within the Claims department to enhance their litigation handling abilities.
  • Monitoring and reporting on litigation and claims trends to the management, making strategic recommendations.

Key Skills

Must Have:

  • Coverage experience either at a coverage firm or at an insurance carrier
  • A JD & legal experience
  • Demonstrable track record in managing litigation processes and understanding litigation strategies.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a capability to mentor and influence a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills both in writing and verbally.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to act proactively to avoid potential legal issues.

This position is fully remote and the salary is flexible dependent on years of experience. It comes with a 30% target bonus and some of the most competitive benefits on the market.
