Introduction:

Mano Lani LLC is a leader in enterprise IT and communications, cybersecurity, and mission-critical operational support for U.S. defense and federal agencies worldwide. Mano Lani is looking for a Senior IT System Engineer to support Navy Modernization efforts at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC.

Duties:

  • Provide end-to-end system engineering lifecycle support for modernization tools
  • Support Systems Security Engineering reviews and technical documentation compliance
  • Participate in design reviews and Integrated Product Teams to drive technical decisions
  • Track technical progress, risk, and milestone alignment to mission needs
  • Maintain engineering documentation and ensure secure data management practices

Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  • Cybersecurity certification
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of Systems Engineering experience
  • Experience with:

– Developing System Security Plans and artifacts

– Supporting System Security Engineering under DoD Acquisition guidelines

– Agile methodology and DevOps/DevSecOps

– EVM milestone management– NIST SP 800-37

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's in Systems Engineering or Cybersecurity
  • PMI-ACP and/or CISSP
  • Fifteen (15) or more years in DoD/Navy Systems Engineering
  • Experience with DoD 5000 processes

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 25 lbs.
