UHP is currently affiliated with 182 providers consisting of 119 physicians and 63 advanced practice providers operating out of 54 locations across Southern, Central, and Northern California.
POSITION SUMMARY
The RCM Director is responsible for directing and managing all functions related to the revenue cycle to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, physician, and other customer relations.
This is a remote position, and worker location must be within Unio Health Partners authorized states: AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, ID, IL, IA, NV, NM, OR, SC, TX, VA and WI
What you will be doing
- Serves as the chief liaison of the Corporate Office with Physician Partners and Division Managers for all matters pertaining to RCM Serves as the direct contact answering any inquiries, face to face meetings, and providing pertinent information and reporting to Physician
- Under the direction of the VP Revenue Cycle, prepares bi-monthly RCM presentations for the Physician Partnership Meetings
- Plans and directs registration, patient insurance, billing and collections, and data processing to ensure accurate patient billing and efficient account collections
- Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates financial revenue cycle operation, including financial planning, budgeting, billing, and accounting functions.
- Oversees establishment of Department accounting procedures as it relates to the clinical practice revenue cycle.
- Develops revenue cycle projections of Department clinical income and expenses, assists with preparing yearly, and provides regular financial reports to the VP of Revenue Cycle
- Coordinates processes for reviewing, analyzing, and establishing fee schedules
- Assists VP of Revenue Cycle with establishment of Department incentive system and ensure effective maintenance.
- Serves as key participant in system and process improvement projects
- Assists in the preparation of monthly management reports providing key revenue and operational metrics and analysis to the VP of Revenue Cycle
- Assists in optimizing financial systems and processes resulting in more efficient financial processes and controls to ensure the highest level of data integrity and accuracy
- Assists in negotiation and establishment of contractual arrangements for professional services.
What you will bring to the team
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related course of study (preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in the medical business office and/or hospital business operations
- Previous experience in working with offshore vendors and third party administrators
- General familiarity of healthcare legal and regulatory requirements
- Understanding the principles of continuous quality improvement as it relates to healthcare
- Broad-based knowledge of relevant insurance regulations and familiar with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
