Responsibilities:

-This job has potential for advancement- Wine Director, Wine Buyer and Manager roles are available based on experience. Position will train as a Food Runner to start, upon completion of that and passing wine/service exams, will advance to Server. This happens when the rest of the staff votes that you are qualified and ready to move on. Based on skills, attitude and desire, additional roles can be added.

-Must be a DETAIL oriented hard worker, you will lift trays of food and go up and down stairs frequently.

  • Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, must be able to pass a basic wine test. Must excel with our "How to Serve" training and follow it accordingly.

  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner. The ability to handle stress, stay organized and maintain a positive attitude is a must.

  • Assist with menu recommendations and answer any questions about the menu or the wine list. Prior relevant service experience is required, strong wine knowledge is highly desirable.

  • Upsell additional items or specials to increase sales, specifically wine, Chefs Tasting Menus or private party's.

  • Process payments and handle transactions using Toast POS system

  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and prompt delivery of orders

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry, server or wine sales is required.

  • Proficient in using Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems

  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Promptness and efficiency are key-

  • Basic math skills for handling payments, calculating tax or discounts

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective guest relations.

Pay: $ $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
