If you are an experienced certified personal trainer currently living in the Kansas City area, ElderFIT wants to connect with you Our online marketplace connects trainers to seniors for in-home fitness sessions. As a contractor, you can decide which customers to work with, control your schedule, set your own pay rate, and get mileage reimbursements.

Position Summary:

Please apply ) if you have a current personal trainer certification from a recognized U.S.-based fitness training organization and over 1 year of one-on-one personal training experience with seniors. NOTE: this is a contract opportunity and you must live in the Kansas City area as you will have to drive to visit clients around the area (and you will receive mileage reimbursements).

We are seeking mobile certified personal trainers on contract with experience providing functional movement training and strength conditioning to seniors. If you are passionate about helping older adults stay active, mobile, and independent, this role is perfect for you. You will deliver personalized in-home fitness training tailored to the unique health challenges of aging populations, including chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and musculoskeletal issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake assessments to determine mobility and strength of each senior client.
  • Develop and implement custom fitness programs focused on strength, balance, and flexibility for senior clients.
  • Conduct in-home personal training sessions.
  • Provide expert guidance on injury prevention and safe exercise techniques for older adults.
  • Track client progress, adapt workouts to evolving needs, and offer ongoing motivation.
  • Build trust and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional service.

Requirements:

  • Must be located in the Kansas City area.
  • Must provide proof of current certification from an NCCA-accredited organization (NASM, ACSM, ACE, ISSA, NSCA, or equivalent).
  • CPR/AED certification (current or obtainable before starting).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience, with proven experience working with senior populations.
  • Must provide proof of their own up-to-date personal trainer liability insurance.
  • Proven ability to manage a calendar with multiple in-person customer training visits.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and adaptable coaching techniques.
  • Knowledge of age-related health issues and exercise adaptations.
  • Must have a current driver's license and ability to drive to client locations around your community.
  • Must be able to pass a and provide past references.
