About the Role:

The Computer and Information Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure to support operations effectively. This role ensures that all computer systems, networks, and software applications are secure, reliable, and optimized to meet the dynamic needs of architectural projects. The manager will coordinate technical services and system administration to enhance productivity and minimize downtime. This individual will play a critical role in integrating hardware and cloud storage solutions to facilitate seamless data access and collaboration across multiple locations. Ultimately, this position drives technological innovation and security compliance to support the organization's strategic goals and operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in system administration and IT management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cloud storage solutions and hardware integration in a multi-site environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or equivalent cloud certifications.
  • Experience with architectural-specific IT systems and software.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as BIM integration.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud storage solutions, to support all project requirements.
  • Oversee system administration tasks such as Active Directory management, user account provisioning, and access control to ensure secure and efficient operations.
  • Coordinate technical service teams to provide timely support and resolve hardware and software issues impacting workflows.
  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency or data loss.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating cost, productivity levels upgrade requirements and other metrics as needed.
  • Implement and monitor security protocols in compliance with industry standards, including managing CompTIA Security+ certified practices to protect sensitive architectural data.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate IT solutions that enhance communication, data sharing, and operational efficiency across all locations.

Skills:

The required skills such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Exchange, and Active Directory are essential for maintaining secure and efficient IT operations, ensuring that user access and communication systems are robust and reliable. Technical service and system administration skills enable the manager to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, minimizing disruptions to activities.
