What You'll Do
As a Property Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing the financial health of multiple self-storage properties. You'll be part of a professional accounting team that values accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication.
Your responsibilities include:
- Full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, including A/P and A/R
- Preparing detailed journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Reviewing and finalizing 20+ monthly property financial statements
- Monitoring and reconciling mortgage and escrow balances
- Preparing owner financial statements and handling ad hoc reporting requests
- Assisting in annual budget development and financial planning
What You'll Bring
This position is onsite at our Stillwater, Minnesota Office.
3–4 years of general ledger accounting experience (real estate or property management a plus)
- Experience with Yardi Voyager is required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and both cash and accrual accounting methods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
