We're now hiring an eCommerce Sales Specialist to bridge the gap between digital buyer activity and revenue — converting online interest into repeat customers. If you're someone who thrives at the intersection of customer service, digital engagement, and sales, we want to talk.
About the Role
The eCommerce Sales Specialist is the frontline connection between our digital customers and our in-stock inventory. You'll help buyers convert RFQs (request for quotes) into orders, support online quote follow-ups, recover abandoned carts, and handle live chats or emails from customers who want fast answers and confident supply chain support.
This is not a cold-calling role. You'll focus on engaged prospects who already match our ideal buyer profile.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on inbound RFQs (request for quotes) that are eligible for rapid, in-stock fulfillment
- Support online buyers via live chat, email, and phone to complete orders or answer questions
- Convert abandoned carts and stalled quote requests using friendly, timely outreach
- Recommend relevant products or substitutions based on live inventory
- Document interactions and activity within HubSpot CRM
- Assist repeat customers in adopting our eCommerce ordering system for faster turnaround
- Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on buying behavior and web performance
- Maintain strong product knowledge of Edward, Vogt, and Crane valves
What Success Looks Like
- High conversion rate on RFQs and abandoned carts
- Positive customer feedback on speed, clarity, and support
- Increasing monthly revenue tied to "assisted" eCommerce orders
- Repeat customers placing online orders via website self-service
You're a Great Fit If You:
- Have 3+ years of inside sales or customer support experience, ideally in industrial distribution (valves, pipe, fittings, MRO, etc.)
- Are comfortable using CRM tools (like HubSpot) and learning eCommerce workflows
- Enjoy problem-solving and guiding customers proactively
- Can communicate clearly and confidently by phone, chat, or email
- Have the discipline to manage follow-up momentum across multiple digital channels
- Are tech-friendly and want to be part of a growing eCommerce-driven team
- Have basic familiarity with industrial valves — or can learn quickly
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $55,000 – $60,000 base
- Performance-based bonus potential: up to $30,000 annually (quarterly payout)
