This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

As a Principal Product Manager within the Applied AI Solutions team, you will lead the strategic vision and execution of an AI-powered specialist experience that scales AWS expertise across our global organization. In this role, you will work with Applied AI specialist teams to transform deep domain knowledge into AI-ready assets that deliver immediate value to customers, partners, and field teams. Your work will be showcased at major events like re:Invent and will serve as a blueprint for how AWS scales expertise through AI.

You will own the end-to-end product experience, from knowledge management infrastructure to delivery mechanisms, ensuring we maintain high standards for accuracy and customer trust. Working cross-functionally with leaders across the Worldwide Specialist Organization and Applied AI services teams, you will define the strategic roadmap for how we scale specialist expertise through AI while maintaining Amazon's high bar for customer experience. This role offers the unique opportunity to pioneer new approaches to knowledge scaling that will impact AWS's ability to serve customers at global scale.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define and execute strategic vision for the experience, owning the long-term roadmap across multiple phases of deployment
  • Lead the development of knowledge management strategies that effectively transform specialist expertise
  • Drive product requirements and priorities for technical features, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals
  • Collaborate with Knowledge Champions to establish mechanisms for maintaining knowledge accuracy and relevance
  • Own success metrics and create mechanisms to measure adoption, efficacy, and business impact
  • Partner with legal and security teams to ensure compliance with AppSec, privacy, and data classification requirements
  • Build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups, including specialists, field teams, and service teams

A day in the life

  • Partner with Knowledge Champions to capture and transform specialist expertise into AI-ready assets
  • Lead cross-functional teams to define and execute on product roadmap milestones
  • Analyze customer feedback and usage metrics to drive product improvements
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and scalability
  • Present product strategy and progress to senior leadership
  • Work with field teams to understand their needs and validate solution effectiveness

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
  • Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience interfacing with customers (Enterprise, SMB, and Startups) and ability to convert customer requirements to high level architecture solutions to build on
  • 7+ years of successful technology products work from ideation through launch experience
  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
  • Experience with agile or other program management methodologies
  • Experience managing and deploying ML products
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies
  • Excellence in strategic communication, including writing PRFAQs and presenting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $163,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $281,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
