About the Role:

  • Provides on call crisis intervention, safety assessment and referrals to identified victims of domestic violence and other abuses upon referral from hospital units during non-program hours at Grace Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides safety assessment, domestic violence and other abuse education and emotional support to identified victims telephoncally initially.
  • Formulates safety plan with victim and provides resources.
  • Communicates with medical staff regarding victim's disposition and regarding referrals.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma/GED preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience with domestic violence and other abuse victims preferred Experience in edler abuse, human trafficking and sexual assault. Strong crisis intervention and safety planning skills and familiarity with protection/restraining orders.

Each On-Call (DV) Responder is on the schedule for one-week at a

time. This schedule runs from Friday at 5PM- until the following Friday at 8:30AM.

Mon-Fri -After hours from 5PM-8:30AM-

Sat- Sun- 24 hours straight

POSITION LOCATED AT GRACE MEDICAL CENTER

Training/orientation $17/hour, on call rates apply for off hours
