Role Overview

We are seeking a
Director of Risk
to lead the
analytics, modeling, and forecasting
that shape our trader evaluation programs and funded products. This individual will not just monitor risk — they will use
data insights
to guide what products we launch, how we price and structure them, and how we anticipate performance outcomes.

This is a
hybrid role
with preference for candidates based in the
Dallas, TX area
, though strong remote candidates will be considered. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of
applied statistics, forecasting, and business modeling expertise
with a strong understanding of the prop firm model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Risk Analytics
  • Evaluate the performance and sustainability of current trader programs.
  • Develop models to forecast outcomes under different product rules and market conditions.
  • Recommend data-driven adjustments to account sizes, evaluation criteria, and payouts.
  • Modeling & Forecasting
  • Build forecasting models to project trader success rates, firm exposure, and payout structures.
  • Run scenario analyses and stress tests to assess product viability.
  • Use historical and real-time data to identify trends and inform future product design.
  • Decision Support
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Partner with product and finance teams to design new offerings that balance trader opportunity with firm profitability.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting systems to continuously track product performance.
  • Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work across departments to embed data-driven risk management in decision-making.
  • Mentor junior analysts in analytics best practices.
  • Serve as the go-to expert for product risk strategy at MyFundedFutures.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in
    risk management, data analytics, or forecasting
    , ideally within trading, prop firms, fintech, or financial services.
  • Strong background in
    applied statistics, forecasting, and business modeling
    (but not pure quant research).
  • Proficiency in
    analytics tools such as Python, SQL, or R
    , with strong Excel modeling skills.
  • Experience analyzing trader performance data or financial product structures preferred.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance data with business judgment.
