Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Construction Crew Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape construction, including hardscape, softscape, irrigation, lighting, fencing, etc. As a Crew Leader, you will supervise a crew of 2-4 members, efficiently delegating on-site tasks to ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

Pay is negotiable with proven experience.

Duties

  • Manage projects, tasks, your crew, material and equipment requirements
  • Delegate tasks to crew members to ensure efficient job completion
  • Ensure projects are completed within established deadlines
  • Oversee on-site safety, quality and productivity
  • Lead by example and take pride in your craftsmanship and crew performance
  • Operate various tools and heavy equipment
  • Supervise and coordinate daily work activities of your landscape construction crew
  • Collaborate closely with the Production Manager and crews to ensure a seamless job execution
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis, including: timesheets, submitting any material receipts, next day job requirements and tasks.
  • Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas
  • Ensure that all safety and PPE regulations are followed as well as company policies and regulations

Experience

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in the landscape construction industry
  • Proficient in safe operation of equipment and tools
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape construction practices
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to use smart-phone for communication and job reporting software
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
