Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Relations Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that enhance our brand image and engage our target audiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and editing skills, along with a deep understanding of media relations and public relations best practices. You will work closely with various departments to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies to promote the organization's goals and initiatives.
  • Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials.
  • Cultivate relationships with media representatives to secure coverage for the organization's events and initiatives.
  • Manage social media channels, creating engaging content that aligns with our brand voice.
  • Conduct research to identify trends in public perception and adjust communication strategies accordingly.
  • Oversee the production of promotional materials, ensuring alignment with AP style guidelines.
  • Prepare presentations and speak at public events to represent the organization effectively.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to integrate PR efforts into broader marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on public relations activities and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong public speaking abilities and confidence in presenting information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and strategies for engaging online communities.
  • Familiarity with AP style guidelines and best practices in journalism.
  • Excellent research skills to support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build relationships across various stakeholders.
