Midtown International School is currently accepting applicants for a Middle School Science faculty position to begin November 2025 with experience teaching Middle School students. The course load includes two sections each of Earth Science (6th Grade) and Life Science (7th Grade), in addition to electives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

*Instructional design and implementation; candidate demonstrates ability to differentiate instruction for diverse student needs without relying on worksheets and secondary texts.

*Maintains organized, well-planned, and thoroughly researched lesson plans that reach all learners. Clearly plans for and implements projects, problem-based learning opportunities, instructional technology, and incorporates resources from a variety of viewpoints and experts.

*Assesses students with appropriate measures, including performance assessments, process assessments, narratives, and rubrics.

*Maintains a safe, secure, interactive, respectful, and healthy educational environment; follows, establishes, and enforces school standards and procedures and complies with legal requirements.

*Interacts positively with parents, students, other faculty, resource staff, and partners in education while establishing consistent and ongoing communication processes.

*Fosters collaborative environment in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the school.

*Participates fully in professional development opportunities, meetings, school events, and conferences.

*Demonstrates the value of lifelong learning by reading professional publications and engaging in continuing and professional educational experiences and being open to implementing new strategies and feedback into one's professional practice.

*Dedication and commitment to the growth, reputation, and excellence of the school in all activities both in and out of the classroom.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in middle or secondary education

Master's degree (in education or in field of instruction)

Gifted Education experience/ certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40, $50,000.00 per year
