Test Automation Manager

EPAM Georgia is looking for an experienced Test Automation Manager to lead and mentor a talented team of test automation engineers while contributing to the technical strategy and execution of automation frameworks.
As a Test Automation Manager, you will combine strong people management skills with in-depth knowledge of test automation practices and tools to ensure project success. You will be responsible for driving a high-performing team culture, aligning test automation activities with project goals, and maintaining technical excellence throughout the QA process.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of test automation engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and career development support to team members, ensuring they thrive in their roles and grow in their careers
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to team members to maintain overall performance and engagement
- Partner with recruitment teams to hire and onboard top test engineering talent
- Promote a culture of knowledge-sharing, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team
- Oversee the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks to ensure scalability, maintainability, and stability across projects
- Collaborate with QA, development, and DevOps teams to design and implement automation strategies that align with project needs and timelines
- Ensure the integration of test automation into CI/CD pipelines for seamless and efficient testing workflows
- Monitor and optimize test automation coverage to improve product quality and reduce manual testing efforts
- Analyze and evaluate emerging automation tools and technologies to enhance existing testing practices
- Troubleshoot automation issues and provide guidance to the team on resolving challenges
- Define and refine the long-term strategy for test automation across projects, aligning with industry best practices
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring that test automation activities align with project and business goals
- Track and report key metrics related to test automation performance, progress, and outcomes to project stakeholders
- Collaborate with other leads and managers across QA and development to foster alignment and adherence to company-wide quality standards
- Proactively identify risks and implement solutions to mitigate issues related to test automation quality and performance outcomes
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in QA and test automation, with at least 2+ years in a management or leadership role
- Strong expertise in designing and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
- Experience managing teams of 15+ engineers, with a solid track record of fostering team growth and delivering successful projects
- Excellent understanding of software testing methodologies, automation strategies, and best practices
- Hands-on knowledge of integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources effectively, and align team efforts with company and project goals
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges related to automation
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing and interacting with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
