Position Summary
This position will take ownership of commercial large group Middle Market segment performance reporting, provide support to actuarial leadership via ad hoc analyses, and maintain/build tracking reports of various sales initiatives and rating methodologies.

A Strong Candidate Will

  • Oversee reporting for large group Middle Market segment performance monitoring. This includes recommending and facilitating process updates and presenting findings/results to stakeholders.
  • Develop strong relationships with actuarial leadership by providing ad hoc analyses, tracking financial performance of sales initiatives, and monitoring rating methodologies across new business and renewal blocks of business.
  • Supervise an actuarial student which will include setting performance goals, project management, and providing coaching/mentorship.
  • Effectively balance and manage competing priorities/reporting deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively across the large group actuarial team to maintain and build new reports to help answer challenging business problems.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication to effectively convey observations to various audiences and is comfortable interacting and crafting presentations to various audiences and levels.
  • Have a strong technical background to be able to oversee improvements to the reporting processes for better analyses and greater efficiency.
  • This role will have one direct report.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree along with 5+ years of actuarial experience
  • ASA or FSA required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong technical background; Excel & SQL
  • Project management experience

Pay Range
The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is
$118, $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
