Mechanical (MEP) Designer with Revit

Our small MEP engineering firm is seeking a full-time Electrical Designer. This job is largely remote with occasional office meetings. We have 3 small offices in Pleasant Hill, San Francisco, and Oakland.

Description

We are looking for an MEP Designer specializing in creating detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing models using Revit software for building projects. This role involves assisting senior designers with drafting, modeling, and incorporating design markups to ensure accurate and efficient MEP coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating MEP models and drawings in Revit based on project requirements.
  • Incorporate design markups and revisions provided by senior engineers or designers.
  • Prepare and update layout plans, details, and schedules for MEP systems.
  • Support clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines in Revit.
  • Help maintain accurate project documentation and tracking markups/revisions.
  • Follow project standards, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve design issues and improve models.
  • Assist during construction phase by providing updated drawings as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Basic experience with Revit MEP or related BIM software.
  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to incorporate design markups accurately.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks.

Tools & Software:

  • Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other BIM-related software.
  • MS Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
