We Need: Supportive and caring individuals with good verbal communication skills looking for a position to work with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) in a residential home setting. The Residential staff helps by providing support and training to 5 - 6 individuals each day.

Job Type: Full-time; 35-40 hours per week

Rate: $16.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday -Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

What You'll Do:

  • Teach meal planning and cooking.
  • Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal carehygiene.
  • Facilitating community integration by providing community recreational activities when available
  • Offer guidance with in-home leisure activities.
  • Documentation of activities.
  • Helping residents develop healthy social habits.
  • Dispensing medication and monitoring dosages.
  • Attending doctor's appointments as needed.
  • Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.

Applicant must be at least 18 years old and have six months of verifiable direct experience working with individuals with disabilities (paid or volunteer) preferred. In lieu of experience with disabilities, other relevant experience may be considered with additional on-the-job training. All experience must be verifiable.
