Position Summary
The Director of Operations is a strategic, people-driven leader responsible for overseeing daily operations across all H&H Hospitality concepts. This role ensures every unit runs with consistency, efficiency, hospitality, and financial discipline. The Director of Operations builds strong teams, drives operational performance, ensures compliance, and creates systems that support scalable, repeatable success as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations across all H&H brands, ensuring consistency, guest satisfaction, and operational execution.
- Partner with unit leadership to ensure compliance with airport DOA standards, TSA requirements, food safety, sanitation, and brand standards.
- Develop and enforce SOPs, operational playbooks, and performance expectations for all locations.
- Ensure all stores maintain proper opening/closing procedures, inventory accuracy, cleanliness, scheduling, and tip-pool compliance.
Financial Management
- Own the operational P&L and drive results in sales growth, labor management, COGS, EBITDA, and controllables.
- Implement and coach leaders on labor forecasting, schedule accuracy, and weekly/period financial performance.
- Monitor food and beverage costs, Sysco/US Foods orders, inventory, waste, and R365 weekly reporting.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and initiate corrective action with store leadership.
Team Development & Leadership
- Develop and mentor General Managers, Assistant GMs, and Shift Leaders, ensuring a strong bench for promotions.
- Partner with HR on recruiting, onboarding, performance management, corrective actions, and employee relations.
- Create a culture of accountability with coaching, performance reviews, and leadership development programs.
- Support training execution through ExpandShare LMS and ensure training completion across all units.
Guest Experience & Hospitality Standards
- Champion H&H's hospitality philosophy at all locations.
- Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experience based on brand standards and the V.I.B.E. C.H.E.C.K. model.
- Review guest feedback through Complaint Resolution reports, ReviewTrackers, and airport partner feedback.
- Lead corrective action plans that improve service, speed, accuracy, and guest satisfaction.
Operational Systems & Technology
- Support rollout, training, and optimization of systems including:
- Toast POS
- Restaurant365 (R365) – scheduling, logs, inventory, accounting
- AllianceHCM – T&A, payroll, performance
- ComplianceMate – digital food safety and thermometers
- ExpandShare LMS
- EyeCatch digital menu boards
- Ensure store teams are trained and compliant with all technology workflows.
Airport & Vendor Partnerships
- Maintain strong relationships with DOA, TSA, airport authorities, Sysco, US Foods, Brown & Brown Insurance, EyeCatch, and other key vendors.
- Oversee renewals of COIs, ensure vendor compliance, and support partner audits.
Quality & Food Safety
- Ensure all units pass DOA inspections, Health Department audits, and internal food-safety checks.
- Lead follow-up action plans for any deficiencies found during audits.
- Ensure ComplianceMate logs, temperature checks, and HACCP standards are consistently met.
Project Management & Growth
- Partner with the CEO and Senior HR Manager on new store openings, staffing plans, training execution, and pre-opening checklists.
- Lead operational planning for upcoming units such as Riverview Grill, Bdubs airport concept, and smart retail initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational innovation to support sustainable scaling.
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of multi-unit leadership experience in QSR, fast casual, or airport F&B operations.
- Strong understanding of P&L management, labor forecasting, and operational performance drivers.
- Proven success building teams, coaching leaders, and maintaining accountability.
- Experience working in airport foodservice or high-volume environments preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Hands-on, servant-leadership style with high energy and a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Ability to work an early-morning and late-night schedule as needed to support operations.
