What You Will Do

You will design the core systems behind a real-time insights platform used across solar, telecom, utilities, and property networks. Your work will involve creating scalable backend services, tuning data workflows, and collaborating with product and AI teams to deliver powerful solutions.

  • Build backend services and APIs using Java and Spring
  • Develop secure, cloud-native systems using AWS services
  • Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases
  • Use AI coding tools to increase speed and code quality
  • Write clean, maintainable, test-driven code
  • Lead and participate in design and code reviews
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to team growth
  • Work with product, architecture, and ops teams to deliver features
  • Improve system performance and observability

What You Bring

  • More than ten years of software development experience
  • Expertise in Java, Spring, and distributed systems
  • Proven ability to build and scale APIs and microservices
  • Deep experience with AWS tools like Lambda, EC2, RDS, and S3
  • Strong skills in PostgreSQL design and query optimization
  • Familiarity with event-driven systems like ActiveMQ or Kafka
  • Experience with NoSQL tools such as Elasticsearch
  • Regular use of AI tools like Copilot or Claude in your workflow
  • Solid understanding of core computer science principles
  • Testing mindset including unit and integration testing
  • Experience with CI pipelines, containers, and modern DevOps practices
  • Clear communication and a collaborative attitude

  • AWS services including S3, Lambda, and Terraform
