Job Description

Serves as the communications coordinator for WND Ventures as a member of DPR's Communications + Brand team. Responsible for delivering, implementing and measuring strategic external communications plans that align with DPR and WND business goals. Works collaboratively across the matrix to build WND's share of voice while also understanding how that work contributes to DPR's global position. Plays an active role as part of a peer group of other Communications professionals in similar roles who partner closely with teams across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements communications plans aligned with WND's business needs, positioning WND as the industry's leading corporate venture investor and innovation hub, and other duties as assigned.

  • Serves as WND's business partner in all aspects of communications, regularly engaging extended Comms + Brand, Marketing and Events expertise.

  • Collaborates with other communications team professionals to share successes, repurposes existing resources and aligns campaigns for maximum engagement and efficiency.

  • Is hands-on with and engaged in a broad range of responsibilities including:

  • Media & Influencer Relations

  • Liaises with thought leaders, project teams, and other colleagues to mine stories and provide guidance on content development opportunities with key stakeholder groups

  • Establishes a deep understanding of competitive landscape, including competitive messaging and share-of-voice

  • Monitors and maintains WND's brand presence on its webpage and social media channels

  • Content Creation

  • Collaborates with WND and DPR leadership to develop and publish fresh and compelling content that celebrates our work, our people and our culture.

  • Creates and oversees the creation of content that includes, but is not limited to case studies, newsletters, news releases, social media, thought leadership pieces and more.

  • Collaborates across the Comms + Brand team to extend the reach and impact of WND content and contribute to team's editorial calendar

  • Business Acumen & Industry Engagement

  • Develops a deep understanding of DPR's culture (inclusive of WND), business and the industry. Helps to build and sustain the company's authentic message and reputation that enhances the brand image.

  • Helps advance standards and changes perceptions about what a construction company can be by playing a meaningful role in company-wide initiatives

  • Measurement & Reporting

  • Tracks, reports and shares communications activities and outcomes regularly

  • Uses data and analytics to drive continuous improvement in communications investments; coordinates with other communicators to provide an integrated, quarterly update

Education Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent work experience

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of communications experience. Prefer to have experience in venture capital field, and/or around the AEC industry.
  • Experience with content writing and publishing, including, but not limited to newsletters, professional presentations, blogs, and social media articles.

  • Ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders and tasks, produce quality work and consistently meet and enforce deadlines.

  • Tremendous organizational, meeting facilitation, and communication skills (written, oral and visual); ability to lead meetings with other local business leaders

  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated experience using data to inform decisions and frequently share results and impact

  • Meticulous editing capabilities and expert writer; ability to write for a variety of channels and voices and to train others to do so

  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel; competency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) a plus

  • Availability to travel

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Salary is just one component of DPR's total compensation package.

Seattle and DC Pay Range: $73,073-$125,273. Bay Area Pay Range: $79,165-$135,712
