We're looking for a Multifamily Truss Designer who not only excels in complex layout and design work but also has the passion to train, mentor, and lead other designers toward excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Design engineered truss systems for multifamily, commercial, and large residential projects using industry-leading software.
  • Review and verify truss designs for accuracy, plan compliance, and quality.
  • Act as a go-to technical resource for the design team — mentoring, troubleshooting, and providing feedback.
  • Lead training sessions, improve design standards, and help shape the next generation of truss designers.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production to ensure smooth transitions from design to manufacturing.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of multifamily truss design experience.
  • Solid grasp of structural principles, load paths, and industry best practices (ANSI/TPI-1)
  • Hands-on experience with MiTek Sapphire Structure.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a passion for doing things right the first time.
  • Natural leadership and communication skills — someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Bonus Points For:

  • Prior experience reviewing other designers' work or leading quality control efforts.
  • Experience training or mentoring within a design or engineering department.
