Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned sales leader to manage and grow our business across the western U.S. territory — specifically California, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, and Oregon. This person will lead outside sales efforts, develop new business, manage distributor relationships, and drive sales growth within the region. Reporting to the senior leadership team, the Western Regional Sales Manager will be a key player in helping scale our operations while maintaining our commitment to service excellence and lean structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop the western region (CA, WA, AZ, NV, OR) for our plumbing-products business (copper, brass, PVC, PEX, etc.)
  • Lead outside field sales activities: meet with plumbing wholesalers, distributors, contractors as needed; build and expand network
  • Drive new business development: identify, pursue and close new distribution or wholesaler accounts; expand product penetration in existing accounts
  • Maintain and grow relationships with key distributor/wholesaler partners; act as a trusted advisor and product specialist
  • Develop and execute regional sales plans, quotas and budgets; monitor performance, analyze regional market trends, competitor activity and adjust strategy accordingly
  • Coordinate with internal functions (operations, fulfillment, marketing, product, Customer Service) to ensure excellent customer service, timely delivery and alignment of product/catalog strategy for the region
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, distributor meetings and customer visits in the territory
  • Provide leadership (even if indirect) for any local reps or contractors in the territory; support, coach and develop as needed
  • Travel frequently within the territory; home-based or regional office as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in sales and business development in similar industries (e.g., plumbing supply/distribution, building materials, MRO, industrial piping, HVAC/plumbing wholesale)
  • Proven track record of achieving/ exceeding sales quotas in a territorial role
  • Strong understanding of plumbing products (copper, brass, PVC, PEX, etc.), wholesalers/distribution channel, and regional dynamics
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and closing skills combined with strategic mindset
  • Ability to work independently in a lean organization, make decisions quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with distributors, wholesalers and internal stakeholders
  • Comfortable with frequent travel within the western territory
  • Comfortable with some remote/field work and regional home base (or within one of the states listed)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Engineering, Marketing or similar) but not required if proven track record exists

Base Pay: $100, $140,000.00 per year
