Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The OpportunityAs an Advanced Business Analyst I, you will be a key player in supporting Ally's Financial Crimes Compliance organization. You will provide tactical execution for critical Anti-Money Laundering (AML) functions across the enterprise and business lines. Reporting to the Manager of AML Transaction Monitoring, your role will involve emerging risk analytics and scenario development and optimization. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver effective solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.

The Work Itself- Conduct exploratory analysis using high-performance relational databases (SAS, SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle) to identify insights on emerging risks.
- Develop and optimize transaction monitoring scenarios using statistical methods to detect potentially suspicious activity.
- Ensure daily operations align with regulatory and legal requirements, as well as company policies.
- Analyze program performance to identify suspicious AML behavior and present findings to management.
- Prepare memos and documentation for senior leadership.
- Respond to ad hoc requests from managers and senior leaders with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with AML Technology partners to perform user acceptance testing and provide requirements for requested changes.
- Assist in integrating new tools and data streams into AML Analytics and Operations platforms.
- Identify and resolve data anomalies impacting downstream AML systems in partnership with AML IT.
- Conduct risk management to understand and quantify risk, recommending mitigation strategies where applicable.
- Acquire understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including policies, procedures, regulations, industry guidelines, criminal typologies, and trends.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred in Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- Proficiency in analytical tools and programming languages such as SAS, SQL, Python, R preferred.
- Ability to work with large and complex data sets, synthesize information, present results, and solve problems creatively.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple duties optimally.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Base Pay Range: $ $85000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
