The Associate, Communications will join a growing strategic marketing and communications team aimed at elevating CEBA's brand across the globe to achieve its mission and vision. The role will support communications focused on external audiences, engaging members, relying on research, planning, stakeholder outreach, and data analysis. The role will involve editorial planning for institutional content, reporting on campaign engagement, and contributing to executive communications.
The Associate, Communications will support CEBA's strategic communications efforts by executing day-to-day activities that elevate the organization's brand, voice, and mission. The ideal candidate is an energetic, organized, detail-oriented communicator with strong writing skills, a deep understanding of social media platforms, and familiarity with media monitoring and distribution tools – including AI-driven platforms and tools. This position is perfect for someone eager to grow in the clean energy space and contribute to impactful storytelling that drives change.
Core Responsibilities:
Social Media & Digital Engagement
- Manage and execute CEBA's social media calendar across platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, etc.) to grow engagement and reach.
- Draft and publish content that reflects CEBA's brand voice and messaging priorities.
- Monitor trends and analytics to inform future content and improve performance.
- Grow and expand CEBA's social media presence.
- Assist Executives with content for social media.
Media Relations & Press Outreach
- Monitor and analyze media coverage using tools such as Meltwater, PR Newswire, and AI-based media monitoring systems.
- Assist in building and maintaining media lists and identifying opportunities for media engagement.
Content & Messaging Support
- Draft and edit content, including blog posts, newsletters, talking points, and social media copy.
- Help ensure consistency of CEBA's messaging across all channels and materials.
- Contribute to the development of communication toolkits and materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Integrate the use of AI tools as appropriate.
Communications Operations
- Track and maintain records of media coverage, press releases, and other communications deliverables.
- Create and maintain content calendar and assist with communications project tracking.
- Support the creation of presentations and visual content in PowerPoint.
- Assist with communications planning around key events, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Update and maintain internal library of communications products and tools; support drafting of internal communications as needed.
- Use AI tools to streamline workflows—such as content generation, social media scheduling, audience sentiment analysis, and data visualization—to improve message targeting and performance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or equivalent and related experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related role. Energy experience preferred.
- High level of proficiency with social media platforms and content management best practices.
- Experience implementing AI in communications or marketing workflows.
- Experience using media monitoring and distribution platforms (Meltwater, PR Newswire, or similar).
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint and visual storytelling.
- Experience in membership organization environment
- Familiarity with internal communications best practices
- Passion for clean energy or mission-driven work is a plus.
Our Salary and Benefits:
Compensation for the Communications Associate ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 as a base salary, depending on experience and qualifications. All CEBA employees are eligible to participate in the annual bonus incentive plan, which is based on both organizational and individual performance. The Communications Associate may also receive a discretionary bonus of up to 5%, contingent on individual and company performance.
