Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team at our Oak Lawn headquarters. This position reports directly to the Owner and plays a key role in supporting our customers, driving sales growth, and bridging the gap between engineering and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of company products, specifications, and applications; stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with existing clients and meet with new clients to expand sales territories.
  • Build and maintain CRM and cadence for managing strategic clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and new product applications.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotes, and responses to RFPs.
  • Manage and maintain pricing databases and quoting tools.
  • Create and update PDF drawings and 3D CAD models as needed; digitize production drawings.
  • Provide technical support to clients before and after sales.
  • Develop and deliver training materials for distributors and partners.
  • Communicate production updates, lead times, and order status to customers.
  • Collaborate with the production team on special requests/custom and large orders.
  • Oversee Inside Sales activities and assist as needed.
  • Manage marketing initiatives, including the company website, Google Ads, and other advertising campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze sales reports, quote activity, and lost opportunities to improve performance.
  • Follow up and track high value quotes and key customers.
  • Follow up and track lost quotes and collect reasons for the loss.
  • Serve as backup for purchasing and inventory management tasks like backup review for incoming sales order accuracy relative to pricing, part numbers, and lead time as well as sales order conversion to 3B jobs in alignment with production and operations planning team.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Prior sales or technical sales experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proven negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80, $110,000.00 per year
