Job Description

We are seeking a
Quantitative Analyst/Specialist
to join our client, for a contract opportunity based in Jersey City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative modeling, financial market risk management, and hands-on experience developing and enhancing complex financial models, particularly for equities and ETFs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Research and prototype risk models for equities and crypto-related ETFs.
  • Extend the scope of Hybrid VaR as a benchmark for the existing VaR methodology.
  • Assist with NSCC Stress Testing model performance reporting and monitoring.
  • Maintain and update model documentation in compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Market Risk and Risk Technology teams, to define model specifications and ensure accurate implementation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum
    5 years of experience
    in financial market risk management and quantitative modeling.
  • Master's degree
    in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or related field).
  • Proficiency in SQL
    ; experience with programming languages such as
    R, Python, or Matlab
    is a plus.
  • Proven track record in
    developing and validating complex financial models
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    equity products
    , particularly equities and ETFs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • This is a
    contract-only
    position with the potential for extension based on performance evaluation.
  • Candidate must be able to work
    3 days onsite
    in Jersey City, NJ.
