Remote, Oregon, United States Zscaler Full time $192,500 - $275,000 per year

About Zscaler

Zscaler accelerates digital transformation so our customers can be more agile, efficient, resilient, and secure. Our cloud native Zero Trust Exchange platform protects thousands of customers from cyberattacks and data loss by securely connecting users, devices, and applications in any location.

Here, impact in your role matters more than title and trust is built on results. We believe in transparency and value constructive, honest debate—we're focused on getting to the best ideas, faster. We build high-performing teams that can make an impact quickly and with high quality. To do this, we are building a culture of execution centered on customer obsession, collaboration, ownership and accountability.

We value high-impact, high-accountability with a sense of urgency where you're enabled to do your best work and embrace your potential. If you're driven by purpose, thrive on solving complex challenges and want to make a positive difference on a global scale, we invite you to bring your talents to Zscaler and help shape the future of cybersecurity.

Zscaler's Solution Architecture team within our Business Development organization is a high-impact, cross-functional group that builds "better-together" integrations with technology partners, hyperscalers, and emerging AI providers. As deeply technical, customer-facing leaders, Solution Architects own the full integration lifecycle. They collaborate with partner engineering teams to design, build, and validate joint solutions, then evangelize them in pre-sale engagements. Internally, they act as the technical authority for their partner domains, bridging business and technical stakeholders across Zscaler's Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to accelerate execution. By blending Zscaler's innovations with partner offerings, the team solves complex security challenges and enables customers to achieve secure digital transformation. This role offers a unique opportunity to deepen technical skills and directly influence emerging architectures in the security and AI landscape.

We are seeking a Sr. Principle Solutions Architect with a focus on AI to join our team. Reporting to the VP, Solutions Architecture - BD, you will be responsible for:

  • Advising partners on integration strategies, architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure across AI, security, cloud, and networking to successfully implement joint solutions
  • Providing architectural and "best practices" guidance to partners designing solutions where Zscaler secures and governs access to AI services
  • Engaging prospective partners in technical and architectural discussions that showcase differentiated customer outcomes, particularly for integrations involving AI services
  • Building strong relationships with technical leaders at Zscaler partners to create Zscaler advocates
  • Assisting partners in acquiring the skills to effectively use Zscaler products and technologies
  • Authoring or co-authoring technical content (e.g., Deployment guides, blogs, patents, whitepapers, etc.)

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 10 years of prior work experience in similar positions (e.g., Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, Technical Marketing Engineer, or a Support Engineer)
  • Strong understanding of the emerging enterprise AI ecosystem, including but not limited to public AI services, private LLM deployments, agent frameworks, agent platforms, and AI-driven enterprise applications
  • Proven experience adopting new AI offerings and staying current with AI trends, and an understanding of how model capabilities, agent behaviors, and automation workflows influence enterprise security and integration requirements
  • Experience architecting solutions involving AI services, with familiarity in how organizations secure, govern, and control user and workload access to AI platforms
  • Ability to learn and support cutting-edge technologies while managing priorities across multiple projects
  • Strong ability to lead and navigate technical and architectural discussions with clarity and confidence
  • Capable of discussing technical topics with business stakeholders and business priorities with technical teams
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and make them accessible to diverse audiences
  • Availability to travel globally, as required, to partner sites, conferences, and similar events

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Prior experience with Zscaler Technology Partners:
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern APIs, SDKs, and integration workflows, including those used in AI platforms, automation tools, agent frameworks, and data-driven services
  • Experience evaluating new AI capabilities and partner offerings, identifying integration opportunities, and communicating architectural patterns that ensure secure usage, policy enforcement, and data protection
  • In-depth understanding of authentication, authorization, and identity concepts, including how human users, applications, and AI agents authenticate and access enterprise and SaaS resources
  • Experience creating prototypes, proofs of concept, or reference implementations that demonstrate secure and governed access to AI services, using scripting or general-purpose languages (e.g., Python, Go)
  • Broad technical familiarity across security, cloud, networking, and identity, with the ability to apply this foundation to rapidly evolving AI architectures and integration patterns
