The Director of Strategic Partnerships serves as a key member of Rise Recovery's leadership team, responsible for driving growth, visibility, and long-term sustainability. This role integrates community, referral partner and stakeholder engagement and management, focused on capacity building and strategic relationships to expand the organization's reach and deepen its impact within the field of peer support, chemical dependency and addiction recovery. This position leads the communications and grant-writing teams, manages community engagement, secures partnership agreements, and supports CEO-led stakeholder and board initiatives. The Director fosters a culture of philanthropy while building relationships that advance the organization's mission.

Revenue Growth & Diversified Funding

  • Build and manage a comprehensive stakeholder pipeline to meet and exceed annual strategic goals.
  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders to include major donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic partners.
  • Plan and execute strategic fundraising campaigns, appeals, and donor events.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities, including grants, service contracts, and strategic referral partnerships.
  • Oversee all stages of grant management: prospecting, writing, submission, compliance, and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate financial tracking, donor stewardship, and acknowledgment processes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Mission Visibility

  • Develop and nurture partnerships with healthcare providers, insurers, local/state agencies, and community stakeholders.
  • Represent Rise Recovery at public events, conferences, and advocacy forums to increase brand recognition.
  • Collaborate with the CEO on tailored outreach for high-level donors, government officials, and strategic stakeholders.
  • Organize and lead stakeholder tours, volunteer programs, and community engagement events.
  • Create and support compelling marketing and development collateral that communicates mission impact.
  • Lead board engagement logistics, including meeting preparation, communications, and tracking member involvement.

Operational Excellence & Strategic Execution

  • Partner with executive leadership to design and implement initiatives for organizational growth and sustainability.
  • Analyze market trends and community needs to inform program development and strategic direction.
  • Maintain accurate donor and development data using CRM systems; generate analytics to drive decisions.
  • Support the development of presentations, strategic briefings, and advocacy documents for leadership.
  • Drive internal alignment between fundraising, communications, and program teams to maximize outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to timelines, compliance standards, and organizational goals across all advancement efforts.

Requirements:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit development or fundraising roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Proven track record in managing grants (from prospecting through reporting) and cultivating donor relationships.
  • Must have a valid Texas driver license, a minimum of six (6) years of driving experience, and a clean driving record.
  • Applicants must be twenty-three (23) years of age or older to comply with Rise Recovery's insurance requirements.
  • Must maintain automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of Rise Recovery's auto insurance carrier if personal vehicle is driven during company business.
  • Commit to ethical responsibilities, including maintaining confidentiality, establishing appropriate boundaries, and avoiding dual relationships with individuals served.

Preferred

  • Strong knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor stewardship strategies, and grant management processes.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written communication skills for crafting proposals, donor correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Adept at relationship-building with donors, stakeholders, board members, and community partners.
  • Proficiency in donor management software (e.g., Salesforce or similar CRM systems) as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strategic thinker with a solutions-oriented approach to challenges

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping, and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit for short or long periods of time.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Able to operate standard office technology, equipment and utilize office supplies.

Working Conditions

  • Standard administrative office environment.
  • Regularly scheduled hours may vary during periods of workload fluctuation.
  • Full-time non-exempt employees shall be assigned to work 40 hours per week, while part-time employees shall be assigned to work 29 hours or less per week to ensure compliance with FLSA, ADA, and ACA regulations.
  • Occasional night, weekend and holiday hours may be necessary to support additional recovery programming and/or Rise Recovery events.
