2 Positions

Duration: 6 Months +

Location: Remote

SAP Data Architect / Data Design Specialist required for a large SAP S/4HANA Programme on a Contract basis for 6 months initially.

You will need to be a proven, SAP Data Architect / Data Design Specialist who can hit the ground running. You will need to have multiple FULL Lifecycle experience and ability to work unsupervised.

The objective of this role is to work with the EAM Value Stream solution leads and Business Data owners to map, cleanse and enrich the in-scope legacy data to the target SAP format. This role will work closely with the Data Conversion & Readiness delivery team to ensure that requirements are fully understood, review results, and obtain sign-offs from the Business Data owners.

• Partner with EAM solution leads and Business Data owners to capture the requirements for conversion of legacy data sources to SAP S/4 for the list of data objects in scope.

• Where a legacy data source does not exist, then this role will assist the Business Data owners with defining the approach to manual enrichment of the data, via spreadsheets or online data collection tool(s) as needed.

• Work with legacy IT system experts to understand legacy data designs and facilitate the process of understanding how to translate from legacy to SAP formats.

• Work with the Data Conversion & Readiness team and Business Data owners to review results of legacy data profiling to identify data cleansing opportunities and optimized approach for cleansing

• Work with the Data Conversion & Readiness team and EAM solution leads to review results of data loads into SAP S/4, and assist with identifying data issues and issue resolution

• Partner with Data Conversion team to ensure EAM data migration plan and approach is well-defined and aligned across all stakeholders.

• Assist EAM solution leads with implementation of Global Template Data Standards, and identifying opportunities to expand Data Standards if needed

• Collaborate with multiple Agile scrum teams to deliver an optimized end-to-end solution based on Global Template leveraging agile methodology.

• Participate in all Sprint planning, execution, retrospectives and other key ceremonies.

Key Skills/Experience Required

• Identify any differentiating expertise required for success in the role.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting or deploying SAP ERP (ECC or S/4) implementations, with a strong focus on the EAM Value Stream area (including PM, MM)

• Good understanding of following business process areas: Plant Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance, Asset planning

• Good understanding masterdata objects like Equipment, Work Centre, Material Master, Cost Element and others relevant to EAM area.

• Strong analytical skills, as shown by the advanced use of data analysis tools and concepts, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL queries, Reporting Tools (such as Business Objects), ETL Tools (such as Informatica)

• Ability to understand complex data requirements, and be able to identify and offer multiple solution options to facilitate the best outcome (e.g. automated transformation vs. manual enrichment)

• Strong influencing, facilitating, and consulting skills in working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across departments

• Excellent oral and written skills to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts, and provide clear documentation to the management and project leadership

• Ability to quickly adapt to changes in timelines and sequences, deal with ambiguity, and succeed against in a high-pressure environment

• Knowledge and experience in the Agile Methodology and related tools (such as MS Azure DevOps) desired

• Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements

• Knowledge and experience in the following tools, disciplines and processes are nice to have: SAP SolMan 7+ , MS Azure DevOps, Quality Center and MS Project

• Bachelor's degree required

Salary: 36,000 – 45,000 GBP per annum
