Summary: The Resource Specialist is responsible for managing donation inventory and maintaining a welcoming, organized boutique space for clients. This role ensures that donated items are properly sorted, stored, and tracked, while also supporting volunteer coordination and boutique upkeep. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about creating a supportive environment for families.
Position Responsibilities:
- Sort and store donations in designated areas with efficiency and care.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of all incoming and outgoing donations.
- Restock and organize the boutique weekly to ensure consistent availability of essential items.
- Collaborate with the volunteer department to schedule and oversee boutique-related volunteer opportunities.
- Keep the boutique clean, orderly, and client-ready at all times.
- Attend, participate, and facilitate staff meetings and other training offered by the program, as needed.
- Attend approved trainings to increase knowledge and skills for professional development
- Must complete all required professional development assigned in a timely manner.
- Provide administrative duties to all SABD programs, as needed, in accordance with its policies and procedures and follow all applicable local, state and federal laws;
- Must be sensitive to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others. Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.

- Other duties as assigned by Development Coordinator and Program Director to fulfill the goals and mission of San Antonio Birth Doulas and the needs of Catholic Charities.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma, preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in childcare or child development field
- PR/First Aid training, or willing to certify within 30 days of hire.
License and Credentials
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Reliable transportation
- Texas State ID
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Must pass annual background checks
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Some knowledge and ability to navigate Zoom, Microsoft Office 2010, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook, MS Forms, TEAMS, SharePoint, to include touch screen and "smart" devices
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and sensitivity to, the needs and interests of clients and their families
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;
- Must have good written and verbal skills;
- Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
