Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.

The Opportunity
The Finance Manager provides direct support to the Ally Deposits business and will be responsible for partnering with the business to create and develop monthly and quarterly reports, financial statement and variance analysis, activity based costing, and other financial related activities. The candidate will work closely with senior members to understand the changing dynamics within the business and industry, while providing analytical and financial business support and reporting.

Primary responsibilities include activity-based costing, financial reporting, planning and forecasting, including preparation of materials for senior management. In addition, this role will support cross-functional business routines centered on business performance and initiative updates.

Success in this role requires an understanding of business operations and objectives, strategic thinking, collaboration, and agility. The Manager must possess a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and be capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The Work Itself

  • Design, develop, and implement an activity-based costing model tailored to the organizations operations and cost structure
  • Drive financial reporting and forecasting routines which clearly articulate key drivers, emerging trends, KPIs, and analysis allowing the business to assess progress towards goals
  • Support the Ally Deposits leadership team in day-to-day financial analysis, and execution of strategic initiatives
  • Support and build relationships with key partners spanning Strategy, Marketing, Analytics, Technology, HR and across the CFO group
  • Utilize Workday environment to provide consistent data and reporting.

Skills
The Skills You Bring

  • College degree (Finance or Accounting) required
  • +5 years' experience in financial services with strong business acumen.
  • Previous people management or technical lead experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in Deposits business or consumer banking preferred
  • Advanced skills with Excel & PowerPoint are required; PowerBI preferred
  • Proven experience developing and implementing activity-based costing or cost allocation models
  • Experience reporting on financial / P&L performance and operating metrics geared to executive leadership desired
  • Ability to influence others and work effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to interact with senior management
  • Ability to analyze data, evaluate scenarios, and synthesize output to present a clear, concise message
  • Must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and be comfortable working with dynamic and complex concepts

Base Pay Range
: $ $150000 USD

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
