Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Inside Sales Executive to join our San Diego team. The Inside Sales Executive will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with VA centers, identifying upcoming office furniture needs, placing orders, and ensuring smooth coordination between clients, vendors, and internal departments.

This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make daily outbound calls to VA centers and federal agencies to identify and pursue furniture needs and opportunities.
  • Provide detailed product information, prepare quotes, and process purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of client communications, quotes, and order activity in the CRM system (Microsoft Teams/SharePoint).
  • Collaborate closely with vendors, design teams, and operations staff to verify pricing, inventory, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with VA and federal procurement requirements for all orders.
  • Follow up with clients after order fulfillment to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly performance targets for calls, quotes, and completed orders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or office furniture sales (experience with government contracting preferred).
  • Strong phone and email communication skills with a professional, service-oriented demeanor.
  • Knowledge of office furniture products, layouts, and specifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and CRM tools.
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with VA or federal procurement processes is a plus.
  • Veteran status or experience in veteran-supportive industries strongly valued.
