Position Overview:

Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart building solutions and sustainable technologies, is seeking a forward-thinking Technology Director to join our Dallas team. In this role, you will oversee technology strategy, lead a skilled team, and implement innovative solutions that drive business growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, IT specialists, and technology professionals in Dallas, delivering advanced technology solutions.
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure technology initiatives support business objectives and long-term strategy.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning within the technology department.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure technology solutions address business needs effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in senior technology leadership roles, preferably within building technology, IT, or related sectors.
  • Expertise in modern infrastructure, enterprise software systems, and technology frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, high-priority technology projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage across teams and leadership levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable working in hybrid environments with modern collaboration tools.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $150,000 – $160,000 annually
  • Annual Bonus: Typically 10-20% of base salary
