As a Certified Veterinary Technician, you'll be at the heart of our emergency operations, supporting both patients and veterinary staff. Your role will include:

• Triage and assist with emergency examinations and treatments
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed by veterinarians
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
• Perform diagnostic testing (radiographs, bloodwork, urinalysis, etc.)
• Care for ICU patients and manage treatment plans
• Maintain accurate medical records and clear client communication
• Collaborate with doctors and fellow technicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) licensed or eligible in Georgia
• Emergency or specialty experience preferred, but we welcome motivated new grads
• Excellent technical skills in anesthesia, patient monitoring, and diagnostics
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and calm under pressure — a true team player
• Physical ability to lift and restrain animals and be on your feet for extended periods

Animal Emergency Center of Sandy Springs specializes in complete veterinary emergency and critical care for dog and cat companion animals in Sandy Springs, GA. We are an emergency practice with a highly efficient team that is devoted to providing outstanding emergency care to our community. We provide after-hours, weekend, and holiday care to best support our clients in their time of need.

We pride ourselves in maintaining a nursing staff that is highly technically skilled in all aspects of veterinary specialty medicine.

As an emergency facility, we do not do routine veterinary care such as vaccines, elective surgeries (spays/neuters), or boarding. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

• Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' emergency and critical care needs.
• Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.
• Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
• Emergency/Critical Care Consults: We offer in-hospital referrals to an emergency/critical care specialist who performs ultrasounds, and endoscopic procedures and helps with the diagnosis of more complicated cases.
• Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high-quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. We also perform detailed Ultrasounds (abdomen, heart, etc)
• Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site.
• Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide serum chemistry, hematology, serology, blood gases, urinalysis, and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
• Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, and shampoos to meet the needs of your pet.
