Located in the heart of Downtown Crossing and Boston's theater district, Sip Wine Bar and Kitchen is looking to add passionate and skilled bartenders to their team.

Serving a combination of wine presented four ways, classic and featured cocktails, along with beer, Sip is looking for talented bartenders with a passion for creating. With a 25 seat bar and a 125 seat dining room, the right candidate must be able to multitask while maintaining a good repour with guests and team members alike. The right candidate will have at least 1 year experience in a high volume, full service restaurant, great wine and spirit knowledge, and possess a positive attitude and a love of hospitality.

Duties:

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests

  • Take guest orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences

  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age and refuse service to intoxicated or underage guests

  • Handle cash transactions, including operating a cash register and processing payments

  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glasses and utensils

  • Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent guest service

  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders to customers

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices

Skills:

  • Excellent wine, spirit, and beer knowledge

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals

  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently

  • Understanding of food handling and safety procedures in a restaurant or food service setting

Requirements:

-Minimum of 1 year of bartender experience in a full service restaurant

-Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails

-Night & Weekend availability

-Reliable transportation

-Available to start within one week of interview

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $6.75 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
