Corporate Director of Surgical TechnologyLocation: Texas (up to 50% travel required)Department: AcademicsEmployment Type: Full-Time | ExemptPosition SummaryThe College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a Corporate Director of Surgical Technology to lead and oversee all Surgical Technology programs across our network of campuses. This role is responsible for driving program excellence, compliance, student outcomes, and accreditation readiness.As a key member of our Academic Affairs leadership team, you will ensure alignment with CAAHEP and ARC/STSA standards, foster faculty development, and maintain consistency in curriculum delivery and clinical experiences. You will also serve as the primary liaison to accrediting agencies and clinical partners.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and strategic oversight of all Surgical Technology programs institution-wideEnsure program compliance with CAAHEP and ARC/STSA accreditation standards and regulatory requirementsLead curriculum standardization, development, and improvement effortsSupport the recruitment, training, and development of Program Directors and facultyMonitor program metrics including certification exam pass rates (target >70%), retention, and placementOversee program budgets, resources, and equipment needsCoordinate accreditation self-studies, site visits, and evaluationsFoster strong partnerships with clinical affiliates for student placementAssist with launching new campuses and programsServe as the liaison with external accrediting and professional organizationsQualificationsBachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred (Healthcare Administration, Education, or Allied Health)Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential (NBSTSA) required5+ years of Surgical Technology experience, with at least 3 years in academic leadershipPrior experience managing CAAHEP-accredited programs and working with ARC/STSA standardsMulti-campus or corporate academic oversight experience is strongly preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entryCore Competencies & SkillsStrong leadership and strategic thinking abilitiesSkilled in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and regulatory complianceExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities across geographically diverse campusesProficient in academic assessment, reporting, and faculty developmentAdaptable and collaborative with a student-centered mindsetCHCP Core ValuesAt CHCP, our team lives by the following values:Innovation – Driving change through creativity and adaptabilityCompassion – Caring for students and the communities they serveAccountability – Upholding integrity and responsibilityRespect – Valuing all individuals and diverse perspectivesExcellence – Pursuing the highest standards in all we doTravel RequirementsUp to 50% travel required, primarily within Texas.
