ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity. In this role, you will lead IT projects within a backend Agile tower, guiding teams through the Agile process to ensure alignment with goals, timely delivery, and quality outcomes. You will partner with cross-functional teams including developers, QA specialists, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to drive successful execution of critical projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and document project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates, risk assessments, and issue resolution strategies
  • Lead Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to manage and prioritize the product backlog
  • Identify and remove impediments or escalate as needed to maintain momentum
  • Coordinate with other Agile towers to manage dependencies and ensure alignment across initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support project success
  • Develop knowledge of the retail energy industry and understand the impact of regulatory requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience managing IT projects with a focus on software development or backend systems
  • 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Microsoft Project

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in the retail energy industry
  • Experience managing large-scale enterprise projects
  • Knowledge of database systems and APIs
