Overview

Ncyber ("en-cyber") is a data-driven information security company based in Columbia, MD. We are a cross-functional team drawing from various backgrounds in the commercial industry, the department of defense and the national security arena. Every member of our staff is committed to solving unique technical challenges that threaten the security of our customers. Our core focus spans across System Design, and Engineering, Software Development, Secure Communications Solutions, Data Science and Analytics. We devote significant resources to research and development efforts to proactively develop novel approaches to stay on the cutting edge of new technologies and expand our collective knowledge base. 

Our internship program provides opportunities to grow your technical skills and collaborate with team members from a variety of backgrounds. This opportunity is a 10-week, intensive, paid internship with the opportunity to work on solutions that help propel our customers' missions forward. As an intern, you will have access to mentorship, training sessions, networking, and social events.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced programming skills or experience in one or more of the following areas: Java, .net, , PHP, Python, Objective C, C#, C/C++, Perl, XML, JSON, UML, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Swift, Go, Kotlin, HTML, SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripts
  • Exposure to Agile software development processes.Exposure to Windows and Linux operating systems, database technologies, web application. servers, and/or automated testing tools
Qualifications
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills. 
  • Experience collaborating with a team. 
  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Human Factors (or related field), Business, and/or Information Technology. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or a comparable office productivity suite. 
  • A demonstrated passion to learn about innovative technologies.
