CKC Custom Homes & Haus of Powell are seeking a
Senior Interior Designer
who blends creative vision with operational excellence. This role requires both artistry and leadership — someone who can
own projects from concept through completion
, guide junior designers, and communicate confidently with construction, vendors, and clients.

You'll work directly with Kristal Powell (Principal Designer) and Chuck Powell (Builder) on high-end custom homes and design-build projects across the Hill Country.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client design presentations and site meetings with clarity, confidence, and authority.
  • Review vendor quotes, amendments, and proposals in detail — ensuring selections, finishes, and pricing align with design intent and contract scope.
  • Own project documentation including CAD plans, elevations, and specification sheets.
  • Mentor and manage junior designers to uphold brand standards in drawings, renderings, and presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with construction and operations teams to ensure design intent is executed correctly on-site.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, ensuring every selection and approval is documented accurately.
  • Participate in weekly design + construction meetings with a leadership mindset — prepared, decisive, and solution-oriented.
  • Contribute to the styling, merchandising, and photoshoots for Haus of Powell's showroom and brand content.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of high-end residential design experience (custom homes strongly preferred).
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and presentation software (Canva or Adobe Suite).
  • Proven ability to review quotes, bids, and proposals with zero detail overlooked.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and leadership presence.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, cabinetry, tile layouts, lighting plans, and finish schedules.
  • A calm, professional demeanor under pressure — confident leading meetings and making on-the-spot decisions.
