We are seeking virtual motivated tax preparers with a PTIN (or the ability to get one) to join our national network. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals who has little to no tax preparation experience that seek the flexibility of working remotely on a part-time basis relying on our mentorship. This is an independent contractor role where you'll be responsible for obtaining and servicing your own clients.

Assistance with obtaining a PTIN is available.

As a PTIN Partner, you will receive software, training (software, tax law and marketing), compliance support, marketing templates, and mentorship in exchange for a 70/30 commission split (you keep 70% of your preparation revenue).

Responsibilities

• Obtain and manage your own clients for tax preparation
• Accurately prepare and file federal and state individual income tax returns.
• Conduct virtual tax interviews with clients to gather financial information and required documentation.
• Review client financial records, income statements, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy.
• Apply knowledge of tax laws, deductions, credits, and regulations to maximize refunds and minimize liabilities.
• Communicate with clients to explain tax return results and answer general tax-related questions.
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow IRS compliance and due diligence requirements.
• Stay updated on current IRS regulations and state tax law changes (training provided).

• Accurately prepare and file federal and state individual income tax returns.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients in a virtual setting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy and comfort working with web-based software (training provided).
• PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number); assistance provided if not yet obtained.
• Commitment to completing AFSP training by December 31. We do most of it together.

Compensation

• 70% of revenue retained by you.

Training & AFSP Requirement

As part of our standards, all preparers are required to complete the IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) online course through our academy. This training ensures you are:

• Listed in the IRS Directory of Qualified Tax Professionals, allowing potential clients in your area to find you.
• Backed by IRS-recognized credentials for credibility.
• Eligible to represent your client before the IRS in limited situations.
• Cost: $99 (must be completed and paid by December 31st). This investment is non-negotiable and reflects our commitment to IRS compliance and professionalism, as well as ensuring all team members are directly listed in the IRS Directory of Qualified Tax Professionals. NOTE: You may start right away, however, the financial component must be paid in full by December 31.
