Overview

The IT/Project Specialist is responsible for our company's technology systems' health, maintenance, and security. This includes providing in-person and remote technical support, managing hardware and software, and securing our network and data. This role is vital for minimizing downtime and keeping our medical operations running effectively. Additionally, this position oversees and coordinates all aspects of development and implementation of company-developed software – Nightwing and Flashpoint. PMBOK standards.

Key Responsibilities

IT Oversight

  • This position works with our external IT provider to oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and cybersecurity.
  • Communicate, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure security and efficiency.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical issues via helpdesk systems, email, Teams, or phone.
  • Lead and coordinate IT projects, including system upgrades, installations, and migrations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Distribution of Hardware and receiving returned hardware.
  • Document processes and procedures for IT and non-IT staff.
  • Provide technical support for internal teams and end users to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
  • Ensure that all IT operations comply with relevant laws, codes, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records for equipment assignments, (issued & returned), logins, and administrator of company software.

Project Management Nightwing/FlashPoint – Custom Software and Apps

  • Work with the development team and oversee new features, bug fixes and software
  • Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Assemble and lead cross-functional teams, distribute tasks, and monitor team progress and performance.
  • Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including business teams, senior management, and vendors.
  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of projects, track progress, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards. Communicating updates to Project Team, internal and external resources as necessary.
  • Implement and monitor project management methodologies and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma,
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, or equivalent).
  • Advanced computer skills, including hardware, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Sharepoint and patient management software
  • Must be able to work independently and follow exact instructions with little oversight
  • Must be able to write and speak English fluently
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and a basic understanding of healthcare procedures
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Entra, AWS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with common IT hardware (printers, desktops, laptops) and troubleshooting techniques.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
