Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated licensed mental health counselor (e.g., LMHC, LISW, LMFT) with current supervision certification or ability to earn certification. As part of Anderson Counseling Associates, you will provide exceptional care to clients and provide clinical supervision to 1-3 provisionally licensed counselors while enjoying a flexible and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1-2 hours of supervision weekly to provisionally licensed counselors.

• Review and sign off on clinical notes of provisionally licensed counselors to ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards.

• Employees must abide by ethical standards as outlined by their licensing board and professional code of conduct.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide effective client care.

• Incorporate additional interventions or eclectic counseling modalities tailored to the individual client's needs and goals.

• Provide high-quality counseling services to individuals, couples, or families (based on your preference and areas of expertise).

• Maintain accurate, confidential records and complete clinical notes within 7 days of client contact.

• Attend weekly staff meetings (approximately 1 staff meeting per week).

• Foster a welcoming and professional environment for clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Active licensure in mental health counseling (e.g., LMHC, LISW, LMFT) and current supervisor certification or ability to earn certification.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide effective client care.

• Commitment to maintaining professional liability insurance.

• Adherence to HIPAA regulations and completion of Mandatory Reporter Training.

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
