Summary

The position is within the Department of Pediatrics -Infectious Disease. The successful applicant wants to work in a multi disciplinary team consisting of clinical and laboratory personnel working together to complete ongoing research studies concerning pediatric bacterial infections. This person will be responsible for obtaining informed consent, explaining the study procedures as well as identifying and enrolling study patients under supervision.

Job Duties
  • Assist with the clinical aspects of ongoing studies by enrolling study subjects/cases and processing case data.
  • Identifying and enrolling patients.
  • Identifying bacterial isolates and associated cases for active surveillance studies.
  • Extracting clinical data from EPIC and creating/editing databases in REDCap, Access, and Excel.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in a science or health-related field required. No experience required with preferred degree.
  • Three years of experience in clinical research.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Prior clinical research quality assurance (QA) experience preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC, REDCap, Excel, and Access preferred.

Work Authorization Requirement:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
