Responsibilities

Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA's Business, National Airspace, and Technical Computing Services (BNATCS) contract. As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton helps deliver the systems and services that keep our nation's skies safe and connected.

We're looking for innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about shaping the future of air traffic management. This is your chance to make an impact on one of the world's most vital transportation infrastructures, working alongside leaders in aviation, engineering, data science, and systems integration.

At Peraton, you won't just support the mission — you'll define it.

We are seeking skilled Test, Evaluation & Requirements Lead Associate to join our team supporting large, complex systems. In this role, you will work closely with project stakeholders and end users to elicit, analyze, and document system requirements that address critical business and mission needs. Your work will directly contribute to the development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of applications supporting data classification and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in requirements management, testing, and evaluation of complex systems, especially those with experience in FAA processes, certification requirements, and operational standards. You will ensure systems meet the highest levels of safety, compliance, and operational effectiveness, supporting mission readiness across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and end users to gather, understand, and document detailed system requirements.

  • Analyze and review software requirements for multiple applications, ensuring consistency, clarity, and applicability across all products.

  • Manage both functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring they are clearly documented as testable user stories and completion criteria.

  • Decompose high-level requirements into actionable details suitable for development, testing, and operations teams.

  • Reconcile conflicting requirements and participate in peer reviews to maintain high-quality documentation.

  • Capture user needs and translate them into precise descriptions of product functionality.

  • Support planning and execution of system testing, including test plan development, procedure creation, and evaluation criteria definition.

  • Conduct testing, collect performance data, and prepare detailed evaluation reports.

  • Track and resolve deficiencies identified during testing or requirements reviews, coordinating with engineering and program teams to implement corrective actions.

  • Ensure project teams have the information needed to deliver reliable, compliant, and mission-ready systems.

Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for complex systems.

  • Demonstrated experience in test planning, execution, and evaluation of software or systems.

  • Familiarity with FAA processes, certification requirements, and operational standards is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to reconcile conflicting requirements.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills for interfacing with multiple stakeholders and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Proficiency in creating clear, consistent, and testable user stories, acceptance criteria, and completion documentation.

  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
