Clinical Specialist

Function:
The Clinical Specialist (SLP highly preferred) is responsible for training and education of the Phagenyx System, designed to treat patients with severe dysphagia post stroke. This includes field support of patient selection, accurate technical support, troubleshooting with the system and collaboration with site team. The position will also assist with development of future educational materials as needed.
This person needs to be located in Texas.
Responsibilities:
• Represent the Company during product evaluation and commercial cases with site personnel including speech language pathologists, physicians and other medical staff.
• Maintain good professional /personal relationships with staff at sites.
• Provide on-site, real-time guidance during Phagenyx procedures, including contingency planning to address unforeseen occurrences.
• Be familiar with clinical data and publications supporting pharyngeal electrical stimulation
• Provide education and training on all aspects of the device, device handling, proper administration, and troubleshooting techniques related to equipment, tools and products required for device procedures as well as all aspects of the respective swallowing and other clinical assessments. Education is expected to be provided through conducting and/or coordinating structured education programs as well as one-on-one ad-hoc training sessions.
• Provide assistance with development and continual improvement with training curriculum, training materials and training tools, based on experiences.
• Provide speech language pathologists, physicians and medical staff with ongoing technical/educational support to ensure continuity of product awareness and clinical implementation of Phagenyx.
• Document relevant procedural case observations for customer feedback.
• Provide assistance to coordinate logistics associated with product shipments, site initiations and product training.
• Work closely with sales to ensure efficient communication between sites and the company.
Essential Experience:
• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology and additional dysphagia competencies, including FEES and/or VFSS
• Must have clinical background in the acute care setting with critical care experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the Healthcare Environment or Medical Device Industry
Desirable Experience:
• Clinician experience in hospital or rehab center setting with focus on critical care
• Experience in stroke rehabilitation settings and procedures
• Experience working remotely from management team
