Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Host / Busser hybrid to join our team at Old Ellsworth Brewing Company. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests, ensuring they have an enjoyable dining experience that aligns with our mission of exceptional service and quality.

Responsibilities

You're the first person guests see - must be friendly and approachable

• As a Host:
• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently and effectively
• Provide menus and flatware to patrons
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
• Uphold high standards of hospitality throughout the guest experience
• Promote a positive atmosphere that reflects our company values
• As a Busser:
• Support servers by clearing and resetting tables promptly and quickly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area and patio
• Assist in delivering food and drinks during busy periods
• Restock service stations and supplies
• Ability to multitask hosting and bussing

Qualifications

• Previous host/busser experience is essential
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with food service operations preferred
• Experience with TOAST POS systems is a plus
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Sunday necessary.
