Senior Assistant Director of Admission, International Credential Evaluator

The Admission Office seeks a Senior Assistant Director of Admission to evaluate credentials and determine if international students are admissible to a variety of program at MCPHS.
Admissions decisions involve interpretation of complex standards and foreign credentials from all over the world. The International Credential Evaluator will evaluate credentials and determine if international students are admissible to a variety of program at MCPHS: undergraduate and graduate degree programs, one-year "pathway" programs, online and bridge programs. This individual will work collaboratively across many departments to advocate for the improvement of institutional credential recognition practices as well as individual students. This individual will help assist with meeting enrollment targets through strategic enrollment management of this population and expedite communication and decisions to individuals with foreign credentials. The person in this position will cross-train with other Admissions offices to be able to understand broader institutional policy and assist in other areas of as needed.
- Works closely with the Senior Management Staff in Admission to ensure enrollment goals are met or exceeded
- Is primary liaison for the development of collaborative agreements with other institutions (university prep, ESL, high schools, foundation programs, etc.) who would create pathways into MCPHS programs.
- Represents MCPHS and its programs to prospective students, transfer counselors, alumni, community representatives and NAAHP advisors
- Responsible for assessing and converting leads
- Counsels prospective graduate and undergraduate students on MCPHS admission policies and program requirements
- Admission Interviews and credential review sessions
- Admission file review
- Outreach to external constituencies (hospitals/colleges/universities) to maximize institutional access to all prospective candidates
- Review of college/university transcripts for the purpose of pre-requisite requirements
- Extensive email and telephone counseling to prospective students
- Organizing and leading Information Sessions
- Serve as liaison to various academic and other campus departments
- Remain knowledgeable of industry demand and trends impacting enrollment growth
- Travel and represent the University at events both in the US and abroad
- Prepare regular reports for senior management and monitor status of applicants, activities and projects related to meeting enrollment goals
- Identify new markets for potential recruitment
- Responsible to track progress towards enrollment goals and ability to take mid-course changes that support achievement of those goals
- Remain up to date on evaluation standards, educational practices and the latest information on academic policy regarding international admissions standards at the undergraduate and graduate level

Required:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Valid Driver's License
- Position requires approx. 20% recruitment travel through New England and nationally
- Experience with a CRM preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills along with ability to multi- task in a fast paced high pressure environment
- Demonstrated success with achievement of enrollment goals and the ability to use a sales approach for the recruitment of new students
- 2+ years previous experience in admission
- Strong interpersonal skills in addition to strong time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the campus from both administrative and academic departments
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends
- Creative problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
- Work may require the ability to travel by car, air, and/or rail either locally or nationally.
